Unlimited spa treatments at this all-inclusive resort in Thailand

Heaven is a place on earth and unlimited spa treatments are on the house at the X2 Samui Resort in Koh Samui. If you love being pampered, then this resort fulfils your dreams of endless massages and treatments.

High on our list of treatments to try would be the After Sun Soothing Wrap of Aloe Vera—perfect for remedying the effects of a sunburn. You should definitely reserve your desired treatments ahead of your stay since they are often fully booked. Breakfast is also included and the resident French chef makes sure the pastry and bread game is on par with the best.

Beyond the spa treatments, the experience at X2 is subliminally private with most of the 26 villas boasting their own outdoor space and private pool—perfect for honeymooners. The on-site restaurant can also plan out a bucket-list-worthy private beach dinner for two.

An all-inclusive resort in Thailand with ultra-private infinity pools

High on the hills with a view to kill for over Layan Beach, The Pavilions Phuket is a once-in-a-lifetime peek into the millionaire lifestyle. The property surpasses expectations with their ultra-private, all-villa concept and each comes with its own infinity pool overlooking either the sea or the lush countryside.

You’re free to enjoy the privacy of your premises in your birthday suit without anyone stealing a peek. The villas are staggered up the hill and can be accessed via the hotel’s own funicular. You’re not isolated despite the remoteness and if you get tired of your romantic villa bubble, there’s a shuttle to the beach, which is quiet and relatively unexplored by the typical Phuket tourists.

Back up at the Pavilions, the Plantation Club restaurant presents elegant plates of fresh and delicious Thai and international dishes and catches the evening breeze from the sea through the wide floor-to-ceiling windows. Making good use of the bountiful local fruit, both bars have a juicy cocktail menu and front row seats for the spectacular sunsets that slowly drop over the horizon of the Andaman Sea.

Sunsets and the suite life at this all-inclusive resort in Thailand

Tucked into a jungle on a steep hill with a first-class view of the dramatic Thai sunset dropping into the Andaman Sea, the Ayara Hilltops is blissfully secluded. Built on a steep vertical, the villas suites are reached by winding wooden walkways lined with tall bamboo and crossing idyllic ponds. It’s the sort of place you’ll find yourself in the mood with zero chance of being spied on by the neighbours, thanks to the swathes of foliage hiding the staggered hilltop suites with open-air showers, tubs, and infinity pools.

Wandering through the property, you’ll catch whiffs of sweet flowers carried through the breeze and likely a bit of the sharp sea air. There are several beaches within a five-minute walk, all of which bear the quintessential white sands, turquoise waters, and palm trees for which Thailand is renowned. Back up at the resort, a pool is ringed with loungers for sleepy afternoons or indulgently early cocktails.

An all-inclusive resort with postcard balcony views

1/4

The hushed, adults-only Beyond Resort Karon is blissfully quiet. From your bed you can hear the waves crashing against the shore every night, lulling you to sleep. Rising fully rested, a free buffet breakfast is served al fresco. The fruit here tastes unbelievable and it’s hard to resist filling up on bananas and mangoes alone.

Each room has a private balcony with a view over the Andaman Sea and Karon Beach, to which the resort also has direct access. The pristine beach is celebrated as one of the most beautiful on the island and its white sands and see-through turquoise water grace practically every postcard from Phuket.

The resort is set up to highlight the sea view, which is always in sight, even as you stretch out next to the two swimming pools. Find a shady spot because the soothing sound of the waves will make your eyelids heavy and send you off to a nap.

Welcome to Jurassic Thailand

The Hotel Bangsak Village is a collection of sleek thatched roof chalets and bungalows nestled into a tropical Jurassic foliage. The beachfront restaurant and bar are ideal for starting and ending your day with delicious cuisine and the cool sea breeze.

The vibe here is relaxed–it’s less about hurrying around with your sightseeing agency and more about enjoying each other’s company in a heavenly setting. You’re also about 20 minutes outside touristy Khao Lak but within walking distance to several beaches.

The lovely blue-tiled pool stretches long enough for swimming laps with a rewarding view of the sea at the far end, luring you out to continue your swim in its warm blue waters. Possibly the best feature in the rooms are the huge bathrooms, designed to encourage you to linger while your partner takes their turn soaking in the deep tub or spritzing off in the shower.

Be in a minimalistic romantic bubble at this Thailand resort

The Sensimar Resort and Spa Koh Samui is a haven of newlyweds and romantic twosomes near the Koh Samui nightlife. The property is comparable to Western resorts with amenities like yoga classes, cooking and cocktail courses, and guided market excursions included in your room rate. On the beach, kayaks and snorkel equipment await free of charge.

They’ve placed significant attention on reducing their environmental impact with sleek bamboo furnishings and specialized sustainable water treatment for both the rooms and the pool.

The pool is serene and dazzlingly minimalist. It’s a generous 39 metres long and bordered on one side by rows of red umbrellas and loungers. The same loungers can be found on the designated Sensimar section of the beach, joined by giant red bean bag chairs that are easy to spot if you swim too far east and aren’t wearing your glasses.

Golden hour glow at this all-inclusive resort in Thailand

Located in the Kamala Beach area of Phuket Island, Cape Sienna overlooks the Andaman Sea. When you conjure up an image of Thailand in your mind, it’s the view from Cape Sienna. Blue doesn’t even begin to describe the colour of the water which shimmers throughout the day in a whole spectrum of vivid colours with rock islands rising above the waves.

The view is particularly mesmerizing from the infinity pool at the Sienna Rocks Café. As golden hour slips into the sunset, most guests opt to watch the spectacle of changing colours upstairs at the rooftop Vanilla Sky Bar.

The hotel experience has won the accolades of guests with little details like providing free cell phones with internet access for the duration of your stay. You’re only a five-minute walk from Kamala Beach but many folks rent scooters to explore further afield. The phone comes in handy when you take a few too many wrong turns and need to locate your whereabouts with the trusty help of Google Maps.

Note: The hotel has an adult-preferred concept, meaning that if necessary, children can accompany their parents but it is highly discouraged to disrupt the peaceful experience of other guests.
