Australia’s Top Hotel: Beachfront Apartments on Trinity Beach

By , November 26, 2015

#1 rated hotelWant to know where travellers are most satisfied with their hotel experience, or where you should spend your next staycation? Well, we’ve pulled more than 140 million traveller ratings from trivago to reveal Australia’s top hotel. It’s beaten hundreds of others and has the highest average of 96.08 making it trivago’s best hotel in the country.

Beachfront Apartments is located in Cairns which incidentally also featured the most frequently in the trivago Reputation Rankings.

The Apartments

“The apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated and had a well equipped kitchen and excellent air conditioning. We particularly appreciated the Esky, ice bricks and plastic picnic wear which were useful when taking lunch on day trips.” Sharon, Canberra.

The apartments are located just a stone’s throw from Trinity Beach, with beautiful Ocean views from the private balconies. Inside, the apartments are really a home away from home, with comfortable furnishings, fully equipped kitchens, a dishwasher, flat-screen TVs, air conditioning and insect screens (to keep those pesky bugs away!). They also have laundry facilities making it easier for you to pack light.

The living area itself can be described as ‘the size of a normal home’ meaning there’s plenty of space to relax in and enjoy the sea breeze with a cool drink and a book, or invite friends over for a beer on the patio.

The Local Area

The resort has two outdoor salt water pools as well as tropical gardens where you are welcome to use the BBQs. Across the road from the hotel is a playground for the kids and there is, of course, the beach right on the hotel’s doorstep.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance with something to suit everyone’s tastes. We recommend the Lime Tree bar and restaurant for seasonal and wholesome meals. If you are keen to use the fully-equipped kitchen then there’s also a supermarket, a world-class butcher, Trinity Beach Quality Meats, and a bakery for morning croissants nearby.

Cairns is the perfect platform to see the best of what Australia has to offer – wildlife, nature, sailing and adrenalin-filled adventures are all easily accessible from the town. It is also known as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, where you can scuba dive and snorkel amongst some of the world’s rarest fish species and beautiful coral.

Once a sleepy sugar milling town, Cairns offers a tropical atmosphere with sun-kissed beaches. For more thrilling action experiences why not try your hand at Kite Boarding or make a trip to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures to see the prehistoric predators in their natural habitat. If that all sounds like more than you bargained for, then an afternoon at the Botanical Gardens offers calm and tranquility whilst an ocean cruise day trip allows you to take to the waves in style.

In addition to the number one hotel in Cairns also being number one in the country, Cairns features eight times among the best rated in the state and has seven hotels in the national top 50 list, more than any other destination in Australia.
