Marriott Hotels has recently opened Fiji’s first mainland hotel to offer overwater bungalows, and it’s not as pricey as you might expect. The five-star Fiji Marriot Resort Momi Bay is situated on the beaches of Momi Bay, less than an hour’s drive from Nadi International Airport.
Luxury here comes in the form of an overwater villa. Perfect for couples, each villa has its own balcony, leading straight out to the sapphire water of Momi Bay. Free-standing bathtubs, huge TVs and even bigger beds fill out the decadent rooms.
Interiors feature open-plan spaces that take advantage of the stunning scenery. Traditional Fijian design is blended with timber and crisp, white colours to create a minimalist feel.
